Independence Day Weekend Release
Here it is Independence Day weekend, the beginning of July and also the beginning of “summer” in the Northwest. Along with that comes the opening of political season with the launch of our new web site. Thanks for stopping by.
We need to pause and give thanks for our founding fathers who had such foresight and gave so much so that we can enjoy our freedoms and the American way of life more than 200 years later.
It is always an interesting time -- but I want to pass along this kind note I received from King County Council member Kathy Lambert.
She and I worked together in the state legislature on important bills that ranged from education, budgets and transportation, I can always rely on Councilmember Lambert to call it as she sees it.
“I have had the privilege of working with Glenn in the legislature and as a councilmember. He is an outstanding legislator who listens to the needs of citizens and is thorough in his work. He seeks to find solutions to meet the needs of his constituents. It is always a pleasure to work with him.
I look forward this summer to meeting many of you as I doorbell and attending local parades and town hall meetings throughout the 5th District. If you have any questions or comments about your family and state government, please send them to me.
Josh Halpin, my campaign director, and I will help attempt answer everything we can.
Happy summer! Glenn

Campaign Blog
The 2010 campaign got underway this past week, as I traveled to Olympia to file for re-election to the State House of Representatives from the 5th Legislative District. You might have seen our announcement in the Issaquah Press or on this web site.
As the issues of government become more apparent, I was quite pleased to see The Seattle Times state in its editorial page (10/13): “This is one of the most important elections this state and nation have faced…we expect more from Republicans and Democrats. There are some issues we strongly believe must be addressed by candidates: Fiscal responsibility; Independence/leadership; Education, with an emphasis on doing better by higher education and reforming K-12; Public safety; (and I believe the most important of all) Creating more jobs on Main Street and reining in Wall Street.”
That’s it in a nutshell. We must get our state back on track with a “live-within-our-means” budget, promote a high-quality yet accountable school system and create more jobs. These have been my top priorities and they will continue to be so.
Tell your fiends and relatives that we need to change our views on state government and return to common sense thinking. If you agree, join me at Fall City Days this coming Saturday, June 19 at 11 a.m. The Glenn Anderson Team will be marching in the parade and meeting with the people. See you there!
Sincerely, Glenn
